"Becoming Strategies" the name for this set of entries---is my punned attempt to point out that teaching is about

a) attracting the learner's attention and effort as they are focused upon a learning activity (and , after mastery, its what is enabled by mastery) by means of the ease, purpose and comfort of the activities [which together I would call "becoming"(first meaning"] and b) delivering to the learner --- via the lesson activities, and the learner's efforts within those activities, a new capability which as additional part of becoming autonomous in the community within which s/he or he will eventually make her/his way.


Thus I see "becoming" a matter of attractiveness and engagement for the learner investing efforts, passion, and time in the activities and also, once mastered, "becoming" refers to a forward movement in the individual's becoming an autonomous citizen in the larger society.
